Nanoflix is a scientifically oriented 3D studio specializing in high-end illustration and animation of life’s smallest building blocks, namely biomolecules. Focus is on large biomolecular structures or macromolecules such as proteins, DNA, RNA, and their complexes, as well as small molecules such as lipids, carbohydrates, vitamines, neurotransmitters, hormones and their pathways. Together they play an intricate role in the function and structure of cells in all living organisms.

Nanoflix is represented by 3D artist Jakob Hall. He holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and a licentiate degree in Bioinformatics and is an expert in biomolecular 3D visualization. His academic research project at Stockholm University in Sweden resulted in the thesis Bioscript3D – A web-based suite of tools for the display and correlation of sequence, function and structure, through automated creation of interactive and animated visualization of biological macromolecules. Additionally, Jakob has many years of experience in web development and design, digital photography, video and post production, attaining his mixed and unique skills from over 25 years of assigned work.
